IMO i wouldnt think it should be hard at all. do you have the service manual?
Anyone Want An Alarm How-to?
If there is enough interest I will do an alarm installation on a Z and do a detailed HOW-TO with plenty of pictures.. so even a newbie could do his own installation.

Just jumped over to this forum and came across this thread, did anyone do a write up on an alarm install? Been almost a year 
well i had planned on it, but wrecked my z.. bought another z and have other priorities other than an alarm.. If i get a hold of an alarm for cheap i will do it.
Sorry to hear that toykilla hope things worked out for you. If your intrested in the compustar alarms the 2w900 are going for less then 200 on ebay, and the 2wSS are going for about 250. The range on the 2wSS is unbelievable, planning on ordering one for myself. There's a little delay, but it really is worth it! GOOD LUCK!

Yeah, Josh... you should get one of the CompuStar ones! That would be awesome... Places here, charge like 400 bucks to install them. supposed to be like a 6 hour install job.
