Today i was woken up at 10am by my postman with a heavy package

Ran downstairs, signed on the dotted line and carried it into the garage

I went out, came home late afternoon and there were a couple more packages delivered

And so it begins........the modding bug

theres plenty more expected to arrive this week :irock:

K&N typhoon - looks the goods, though the pipe needs some work with Mothers Metal Polish before it goes in
<a href='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/scascone/121_2165.jpg' target='_new'></a>

S2000 antenna - loves it
<a href='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/scascone/121_2162.jpg' target='_new'></a>

Nismo oil cap - the first of the real performance mods here fellas
<a href='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/scascone/121_2158.jpg' target='_new'></a>

My H7 6500K xenon kit from xenondepot. Had the same kit on the Alfa and was impressed with the quality and light output
<a href='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/scascone/121_2167.jpg' target='_new'></a>

Front splits, JBL C608GTi's
<a href='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/scascone/121_2170.jpg' target='_new'></a>

And what's been lurking under my bed..... the choice gear out of the Alfa, Clarion VRX935VD, TV Tuner, DSP Processor, 3 JBL Amps, plenty of Monster Cable and Audison gold plated RCAs
<a href='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/scascone/120_2059.jpg' target='_new'></a>

i dont have all the parts yet to do my ICE install, when the time comes ill drop it off at my installer and leave the car there for a couple weeks. Im not looking forward to leaving the car at the shop, but theres no other way around it unfortunately

the xenons and intake ill do this weekend. I gotta jack the car up, take off the front rims and drop the bumper and undertray. That way i can route the wiring cleanly behind the bumper and under the airbox into the battery area

is refitting the front bumper difficult? will it line up ok or do u have to keep adjusting the bolts on each side?

I've heard from Dave079 that the front bumper is very easy to remove and install. With practice, it can be a 30 minute project.

from what ive seen and read, the bumper has fixed bolts to re-fit it onto the car

when i removed the front bumper on my Alfa, the side bolts were on oval shaped holes, so they could slide back n forth and up n down. It was a pain in the ass to refit and line up, just too much range of movement. I threw in the towel after 3 hours and had the dealer do it

btw does anyone have a proper DIY bumper removal with pics?

Let me know how the HID conversion goes. I am very interested.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get them from and how much were they?

Yeah its a very simple job. Its just six pins up top, 6 bolts at the bottom(from what I remember) and 3 bolts on each side after removing the inner fenderwell. I can do the whole thing in about 15 minutes now. I didnt have to remove my front bumper when I did my HID's though. I just took the front tires and inner fenders off and it was simple.

Here is a good tutorial on how to do the HID's....

Dave i have that DIY bookmarked, but its different to my kit. That brighstar kit looks to take its power supply from inside the headlight. My kit takes power directly from the battery and has an earth that needs to be grounded, with alot of fuses along the way just in case. So i need to route the wires from the drivers side headlight across to the passenger side then up to the battery. I want to hide them behind the bumper

x rates i think so......

postman came past again today

this time to drop off my JBL P652 rear speakers

I went past my installer again with all the equipement and mapped out the system, im up for 3G's in labour alone and my car will be gone for 3 weeks

ive decided to go for one sub, 2 10s just wont fit, theres not enough volume to do it how i want it, so ive bought an Alpine Type X 10", 1000watts RMS and nice deep magnet to fill the box

car's booked in for early July

underneath the strut brace Yun, glassed both sides and with the amps mounted in a false floor where the spare is

the stock location is crap for sound quality, all it does is pound ur lower back

the biggest cost is in painting inside the box and having the panels injection moulded the same texture and color as the originals

Arent LED and neon two different lighting techs?

but nope no neon tubes, i dont like the type of light

we're putting either orange halogen or orange LED downlights in the sub box and under the amps, all flushed mounted

we'll experiment with the lighting when the time comes, that's ages away
