Hi guys. I'm new here, just got my 2004 Fairlady last week. (I'm from new Zealand and we get Japanese models here).

From the advice on the forum it looks like I have the base spec model, but after driving it I suspected I might have got lucky with an aftermarket LSD.

I jacked it up, put it in neutral and rolled a wheel. The wheel on the other side turned in the same direction.
Then I put it in gear and did the same thing. The wheel was much more difficult to turn and this time the wheel on the other side turned slowly in the opposite direction.

Sounds like this might be good news, but does anyone know if this confirms my LSD?

If your rear wheels spin at the same time when it's up on jacks, then you have either 1.5 or 2 way LSD.
To tell if you have 1.5way or 2 way LSD... when you are on the ground, drive your Z in a circular motion with your steering wheel turned all the way, if you DO NOT have the "CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK" sound from rear diff, then you should have 1.5way LSD.
If the "CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK" sound is loud and clear, you have 2way. Then you should go enjoy drifting!
