I'm getting a AEM wideband and was wondering if I have to buy the controller? Also have a question about the install. I have a true duel exhaust and the gauge comes with one sensor I believe. How does this work. Does it get an accurate reading?

Just got mine installed yesterday. You don't have to buy the controller and it will tap in forward of your stock cats or into your test pipes. You're right it has one sensor and is reading off one side of the engine. I don't know of any widebands that read off both sides though.

Ernie can you provide any details as to how they installed this?
Am thinking about going down this road & am curious about how they tapped into the bung - splice into the O2 sensor.

Thanks!

Sorry, just noticed your question. The AEM installed in my Z is actually tapping into the right downpipe. If you are NA, you would tap into right before your CAT or into the test pipe near the O2 bung. The installation is very similiar to the O2 bung, they drilled the downpipe and threaded in the connector. The AEM gauge is kinda "bouncing around" alot right now, because I am always near idle or very low rpms because I am still breaking it in. Its true test will be about a week from now when I mash the peddle and I should get a nice steady reading of 11-12 afr.
