well i have an 03 and have had no isses with the tranny as of yet. the feathering issue was a problem, but once i added teh eibach springs it went away, atleast for me. i did have a window motor failure, but that was fixed by nissan. i havent had any other major issues at all since those. good luck with the purchase adn hope to [email protected] around
So did you pick up the 03? There are known tranny problems, but it depends on the manufacture date. Apparently I fell just outside that realm, but a friend didn't. He's replaced one and may need another, BUT he's also a spirited autox'er, so it could be abuse. Other than the window streaking (TSB), no probs and I love it.
yea, I bought the 03. tranny is knotchy and sometimes grinds....how jerks are nissans when im dealing with them to get this fixed wtih new tranny? also i have window streaking....they will fix this also?
thanks
John.
They will fix all of those problems. There have been technical service bullitens(TSB) posted about those problems so Nissan is aware of them and are required to fix them for free.

I just got mine back from the dealership yesterday only to find out the window streaking problem is still not fixed. They have said twice now that there are no parts to replace, but when I look at the TSB it mentions part # 80327-CD025 (Stopper Kit). Hopefully, they will fix it today when I take it back to them and show them what I found online.
They definitely need to replace parts to fix that issue, I had the same problem and took it to the dealership 3 times before they broke down and ordered the parts
I took my car back to the dealership, and showed them the TSB for window streaking. The service writer was like, 'where'd you find that'. Pretty sad when the consumer has to point out how to fix the problem. Anyways, they fixed the problem by using the stopper kit. No problem now.
