I just really wanna know better way to upgrade ECU.

I have no knowledge about ECU upgrade, so I need your help.

1. ECU upgrade with stock engine

-> when I get turbo, then put EMS on it.

2. don't upgrade ECU until get turbo.

-> ECU upgrade with the turbo.


I don't understand what my friends were talking about...

plz...teach me about this, anyone!!

and...is ECU for Z33 available?

At the moment there are only ECU reflashes or piggy-backs.

A reflash can be done to change engine parameters, such as timeing and fuel delivery. A piggy back does basically the same thing.

An ecu upgrade is recommended if you do anything to your Z (intake, exhaust, cams, etc..)

turbo kits come with the ecu that you need, so another upgrade will not be necessary.

Most turbo Systems will come with some sort of "BAND AID" engine management system of their own..From what I have seen the APS TT system will come with the UNI chip which is a piggyback system and all the nedded injectors and harnesses to run you up to about 500-550 whp depending on your internals...By far the most comprehensive system I have seen to date, they cover all their bases on this kit..So save your $$$ if your gonna go turbo anyway and dont do any mods to your car or ECU and put that money you would have spent towards the turbo kit in the first place..JMO..
Modding a car becomes an expensive process with MANY learning curves along the way..SO what I have chosen to do is ditch the ATI procharger I have and get the APS TT system in which Peter and the boys did all the dirty work in the R&D for me..UP until now I was sort of a test pig for different stuff and have chosen to let APS do the testing then build on what they have supplied to me..Kind of like perfecting perfection..
