This is my first time posting. :newbie:
Just want to get some feedback. I'll be getting rims for my Z soon, and I'm not sure which way to go. I am thinking of either 19"s or 20"s. I'm leaning towards the 20"s only because the Hyper 5ZR 20"s have rivets (the 19"s don't), but I'm hesitant because I think they may be to heavy for the Z. I think I may lose too much performance, but I feel the rivets look much nicer.
Let me know what you think :helpsmilie:

Hello, and welcome, I was in the same dilema. I went with 19's because I didn't want to give up too much ride quality. I don't know if you ever seen how big 19's are, they are really hugh, especially on a Z. good Luck.....db

I'd say go with 19's if you want any performance out of your car at all. 20's will be even heavier and your ride quality will suffer even more than 19's.

Good luck with your choice and :welcome: to the boards!

18's are for performance, plain and simple (pretty much all race teams use 18's). The look good, can be light weight, still a reasonable ride quality - good choice!

19's are also for performacne but loose some driveability and may weigh more than 18's. But they do look awesome.

20's are for pimpin' only. Get real folks - we own a true sports car, why weigh it down with HUGE rims just for looks and then loose some of the intended ability of this fine auto on top of that?

18's rule if you plan on driving that baby, 19's are really cool, 20's are silly (IMHO).

And anyway tires are exponentially expensive as they get larger (and are harder to locate in an emergency unless you live in LA or NY).

Thanks for the feedback. I finally got my wheels. I decided on the 20's just cause I know that I'm not going to be racing in the Z. I live CA and I get into enough trouble with the coppers. I got the wheels 20x8.5 front/20x10 rear. 25 offset. I will be getting my tires soon, but I need some help. Does anybody know why most 20" setups run a 30 series in the rear and a 35 in the front? Can I run 35 series in the front and rear? I will be lowering the Z with Nismo S-Tune suspension.
My options on tires are:
Toyo T-1S 245/35 front, 275/30 rear
Nitto 555 245/35 front, 275/35 rear
or should I wait a few months and get the new Toyo T-1R
245/30 front, 275/30 rear

don't do that mistake.. I got 20's also but when I calculated the diameter of the 275-30 I found it to be smalled that the 245-35.. now that would look retarted.. you have 2 choices

255/30-20 (26.0") 285/30-20 (26.7") BFGoodrich KDW
245/35-20 (26.7") 285/30-20 (26.7") Falekn ST-115 front FK-451 rear
