35th Anniversary 350Z in AutoWeek

The new issue of AutoWeek (which I got in the mail yesterday) has a short article on the 35th Anniversary 350Z. It is coming out early next year with a bump to 300 hp in the 6MT only. 5AT Anniv. Ed. still has 287 hp. 6MT is like $36,600 MSRP and appears to have the Track model Brembos, and different wheels. There's a pic of a yellow one in the article.

It's not a rumor anymore. If they print it in AutoWeek, it's a **** good bet it's true.

Yeah, Nissan didn't produce a Track model for 2005. It's being replaced by the Anniversay Edition
I heard that along with the increased hp, there is a decrease in tq so your essentially getting the same thing as what we have now.
Yeah, the dealer's already have the literature on the 35th anny Z. Saw it when I had my car in the shop 2 days ago.
I heard on another 350z site it gets all new internals, rods, pistons, cams etc... can anyone verify this?

There is a Track model for 2005. It doesnt come out until January 05 and has the same 300hp as the 35TH Anniv. model.

As far as the internals go, supposedly the pistons are different along with some ECU changes.
Yeah, at the time I thought the Track was being completely replaced. But I learned a couple of weeks later that I was wrong, and like you said it comes out in January

The Nissan parts database also is listing a new upper plenum part number for 2005 models. I don't know if this is also a part of the 300HP or not.
Man, I hope so. Why they made a plenum that restricts air to the front is beyond me...
