It has always been my passion to find out how my Z would perform infront of an M3

it all started when i was on the golden glade intersection exiting I-95 going to the Turnpike. An M3 pulls in infront of me squeezing from the HOV lane to the exit lane. I actually let him through so i can race him because i have noticed him driving fast considering he had an M3. so we go at it between traffic for a good quarter mile he is still infront of me. so we get to a toll plaza to pay...both of us go to full stop. but it just happens that i am blocked by a volvo s40 right in front of me. the volvo lets the car rip and i am right behind him while the M3 gets blocked by a car and falls behind by one car. the M3 catches up to me while the Volvo is still ahead...all of us blocked by traffic. then the true moment comes...

the volvo take a clear open lane and steps on it...while i take an open lane and i step at it...and the M3 takes an open lane and steps on it.

I beat the S40 with no problem going from third gear to fourth. the M3 passes the S40 with no problem.

but this is where the beauty of it all happens...my car is already on 120 mph still on fourth, and the M3 is WAY behind me almost by 5 cars

i let the car slow down so i can take another exit...the M3 actually closes up on me, and gives me that :F-you: look. even though he doesnt know what is under my hood. :rolf2:

I simply loved the look on his face, i loved the way he thought that his 330Hp M3 can beat the Awesome Z with no problem. it doesnt matter what is under the hood what matter is that the Z $30.000 car, can overtake a $60,000 M3. i know how that guy is thinking now.... :banghead: :doh:

the Z is simply an undercover racer.

this kill is dedicated to all the Z fans out there. to all the ones who actually wondered about an M3 or what is close to that.you guys have the best out there.

I took my stock Z against on 05 M3 and my results were not the same. Respectable but not nearly the same.

I know for a fact that a stock Z cannot take a stock E55AMG. Or a stock S55 AMG either. I had a 3-car race a while back, and I got my ass handed to me. They just pulled steady away from me, and I aborted the race at about 80 (we were on a city boulevard).

Those cars are simply monsters.

well dont feel bad.

i got my ass handed over too me as well by a C55 once. but i have to tell you that they only beat you on straights. but on curves and turns you will be able to give them some tough time during the race.

honestly now i am extremely proud of my car with the performance it did the other day.....just beautiful.

remember the M3 has a good 400lbs more to its weight

it actually turns off the speed limit on the car, and lets you go to 160mph
it helps pump more fuel to the car.
it gives complete new orders and faster comands to the transmission gear box for AT

Hmmmm, S40 was never going to be a problem but the M3 (especially newer models) will beat the zed.

By your story it seems that it wasn't really a 'fair' race, too many variables.

Nice story but I wouldn't put it down as a M3 kill. Line up against a newer one fairly and it would be a different story.

where did you get this done? the only mods known to the Z computer is the Techno square flash and altered atmosphere flash and the do what you described for ridicilous $500 .. other computer mods like greddy emanage and such doesn't remove the limiter.

Note: computer flash involves reprogramming the exisiting parameters of the ECU "computer" it's not a chip.

well i actually did pay $500 dollars for it...
it was sent to California where the car stayed for two days without running.

it was more than a fair race....the M3 did not caTCH UP TO ME, as well as he was not far from me at all when it all started.

you should be happy that a Z won against an M3
they Only have high torque but when it comes to high speeds....the Z can actually do better.

i really dont want to set the flame on anybody but..

a properly driven E46 m3 will walk on you all day long... sure you will have a better fight on higher speed (100-120) but an m3 will still walk on you... mayb he was too scared to go fast? :helpsmilie:

just for a comparison, E36 (95-99) m3 vs 350z is a total driver's race but a 350z will start to walk around 90 due to m3's short gearing ratio (3.23 i believe..) and E46 m3 has 90 more bhp with less drivetrain loss...and on highway, that's all it matters... you can outrun him but i don't think you can walk on him That bad.. u know?

kill is a kill tho.. there are some arrogant bee-yotchs out there who thinks bmw is the fastest thing on the road... nice kill!
