This is a true story, no joke this time : )This past Saturday afternoon I happened to line up with a black Acura NSX at a local traffic light, looked to be one of the first years they came out 1990 -1991, def wasn't anything in the last 10 years. Anyway the kid driving it looked to be about 15 (lucky for me I guess, might even have been stolen for all I know, but the rims made me think "def. an owner"), the aftermarket rims looked like they could be purchased at Wal mart (hideous looking things, three star design mag wheels, cool in 1992, I give this kid props though he def. had balls driving around with these God awful things) anyway i was with the ole "ball and chain" and i was at about a little below quarter of a tank so her being with me didin't really affect things (she tanks in at about a buck three o), The VDC was already off (i live in AZ so it was about 75 degrees and sunny no traction issues at hand) I glanced over at him and got a rev from him so i knew it was on (sounded nice, aftermarket exhaust maybe)...light turned green and...He got a horrible start, I nailed it and the 245's hooked up nicely very little spin and I was at least a full car length on him by the time I chirped up 2nd gear. He made slow but somewhat progress as I was flooring it through 2nd, and right before my transition to third he crept up on me by about half a car length total from my intial car length advantage (those things pull like a son of a b*itch up top, and seemingly endless gears, he might have shifted twice for all i know), I didn't see 4th gear (was running out of road) but he gained maybe another bumper length on me before we both began to slow down, needless to say he never got me and things were leveling out right before we slowed down!! Maybe if he upgrades to the spinner hubcaps he will have a better chance racing the Z, regardless it was a kill, see ya around "three star" :wavey:
