Yeah, I've seen that one as well .... cold not belive what a hard crash that was when it looked like everyone is driving so slowly. Just goes to show you how easy it is to have a bad crash in the wet.

By the looks of it everyone at the front was going slowly, but the guys catching up from behind couldnt see the rest of the pack and ran into them at full speed, some of which were standing still after the first crash.

That last car/driver is burning for a long time.

you should watch the Amuse 350Z, atm it's the Ultimate NA 350Z

They got the weight down to 1280kg ... that is really impresive. I can only imagine what a 1280kg 350Z would feel like.

ps. Two of the 3 tuned 350Z in the original video have a second OFF switch for the VDC.

Peter here in Sydney showed me the location where that switch is installed. Its turned off for his race car. The switch isnt there in stock form but it shouldnt be hard to put on in. I think you loose ABS as well.

I think you loose ABS as well though.

The tunned Zed's in the BMI seem to set up with purely a VDC on/off switch.

Though, there's a fuse in the fuse-box that you can pull out and that will disable the VDC, TC as well as ABS ... that sounds like what Peter maybe did. Though, when I did it my dash lit up like a Christmas tree (ie. a lot of warnings) ... it would drive just fine, expect for the lack of ABS. Can you find out more about what Peter did (and if they can do it witout killing ABS as well)?

I would love to have an off switch for the VDC, but not at the expense of switching of the ABS. Also the light up dash did not appeal to me either :)

If I remember correctly the area he showed me was in the middle console, near your left elbow and the handbrake.

If he doesnt reply to your post before tomorrow i'll give him a call.

EDIT, Im going to Peters tomorrow so will ask when im there.

My guess is that the guys install a switch of some sort running from the yaw sensor to the ECU, judging from where everyone installs the switch. Switching it off would remove the primary "stability" sensor, but shouldn't affect the other ones (like the ABS).

How it then defeats TCS is beyond me, but perhaps a single VDC button press disables the TCS (like it does on the Touring).

To be quite honest, I think the guys pulled the S15's punch. It should have passed the Z33 on both of the last 2 laps.

**** - spent 20min downloading the sucker and could view it as "Quicktime was missing some software"?????
When I tried to play using Media Player, I get the sound but no pics. If I recall correctly, something about a codec error???

Thanks for the link Murray.

The Amuse 350Z with 350hp goes fairly hard. But if my understanding was correct, the cost of the upgrades is the same as the cost of the car in Japan!!!! Thats **** expensive HP. Make the APS TT look like a complete bargain in comparison.

BTW, a 1280kg Z with 350hp would be a ball tearer. Even better, think APS TT at 1280kg - faster than Enzo.
