The vid was shot by someone who was biased and didn't show the whole thing. One can never get the sense of what happened through a video. There are too many factors to take into consideration. If I were in there and felt threatened, you bet your sweet ass that my elbows will come out swinging.

I agree 100%.

I think we should setup a series of kill boxes on the border and use militias, infantry, mechanized infantry and air power to patrol them. It is, after all, a war. Please see La Raza and MEChA. Truly racist organizations dedicated to the violent overthrow of at least 8 western state goverments. :shoot2: :50cal: :shoot:

The New Colossus Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame.
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome
; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp! cries she
With silent lips. Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me
,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

The sonnet engraved inside the pedestal....written by Emma Lazarus (1849 - 1887):

Inspiring quote indeed but everything needs to be taken in the context of when it was written. The US was trying to populate its frontiers. At this point, I think we have enough poor and wretched, wouldn't you say? The sad part is that our government would rather cater to the illegals than our own citizens because they see the voting power potential. Like it or not, we're all going to have to learn Spanish. It's inevitable at this point without some drastic measures in Washington that will never happen. We lost the one chance for some reform this past year. Right-wingers might not have liked the bill but I don't think they are being realistic about the compromise that has to ultimately happen.

Here's one for you. So the laborer that my contractor used for some landscaping work just landed a union job. This guy doesn't speak a lick of English. How does that happen? Where do Unions stand on the topic of illegal immigration anyway?

Lets not forget MS13. They're about the deadliest gang out there now.

What bill are you talking about?

I thought the Unions were all about immigration reform and keeping the tide of illegals from becoming a larger problem than it already is.

God **** filthy hippies.
Where? :nunchuk: :punch:

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Wow. I think this says it all. 100 years later and it is exactly on the mark. I wholeheartedly agree. We should plaster this up everywhere (in Spanish of course).

I watched a good documentary today on the Sundance channel called "Wetback". It chronicles the experiences of two people trying to cross the Rio Grande to America, a few Border Patrol officers and a group of border Vigilantes.

There was a story in there told by a Padre, wherein he assisted a mother from Honduras who then left his mission to try and get into America. She called him and said she had been caught by a Border Patrol officer and before being processed she asked him to please take out his gun and shoot her right there. She was crying and she asked that he then call her sons in Honduras and tell them their mother lived her dream and died on American soil. The Border Patrol officer uncuffed her and said, "You're free to go. I never saw you." She was calling the Padre from Chicago.

I was hoping they were going to give the name of the officer, but they didn't. ;) The documentary was well done and told a story from several perspectives.

He was a cool cat.

Too bad there aren't more like him inside DC.

I have nothing against the French.
I do. It's usually when I'm bumping uglies....

Sounds Great! Plus close the border! Or they will just keep coming across!
