Hello all Z fans across the country!

As most of you may or may not know. The Three NY clubs, ZANY (Albany), ZACNY (Syracuse), and ZCCR (Rochester) are Tri-Hosts of the 2005 Convention.

We are all excited about putting on a great week of events and showing you some NY Style hospitality. For those of you that have been asking where registration is, it's coming. Our target date for having the registration up is February 1,2005. We are in the middle stages of setting up the form on the web site and making sure all the links are working properly. One of the last pieces of the puzzle is confirming the date for the Track day.

This should be locked in by mid January which will set the dates for the convention. The dates will either be from August 1st to the 5th, 2005 or Aug 15th to the 19th, 2005. The Hotel for the Convention is going to be the Windham Hotel in Syracuse. Information regarding reservations will be up at the web site soon, if not already.

We have an exciting list of events to keep you busy for the week. Here is the tentative schedule:

Monday: Opening reception / Texas Chili party.

Tuesday: Poker Run, possibly to the famous Turning Stone Casino. Keg and Clean Party at Hotel

Wednesday: ZCCA and Peoples choice car shows at Burdick Nissan, indoor facility available!

Thursday: Watkins Glen IS, Thunder Road my friends!!! Track day, drivers school and Hot laps. This is your chance to drive one of the most dominant road courses in the United states.

Thursday: For the people that want a tour of Watkins Glen but don't want that high speed thrill we have warm laps set up during the lunch break. This will be combined with a road tour of the famous NY Wine Country located in the heart of the finger lakes region on NY, beautiful and scenic!!! You will also be taken on a tour of the original Watkins Glen Race course through famous Watkins Glen NY

Friday: Autocross and Closing Banquet.

Several Local Tours / Attractions available each day Ie: Casino, Bolt Castle, Wine Country ect...

We are all looking forward to having a great time!!

Sincerely

Chris Holmes

Chris,

You mean the convention date is not set yet????? All clubs that I have been speaking too were under the impression that it was 8/1-8/5 2005. I think you guys need to clarify this ASAP. People are planning things for the convention NOW.

Mr K usually attends most of the Zcons. However, he is getting up there age-wise.

We are all hoping that he makes it there this year.

I've been to this area of New York, and the drive alone is worth the trip. I spent a weekend at Watkins Glen IS - all I can say is I'd do it again! The whole area is a nice vacation spot. This area is full of wineries.

I might have to seriously plan this one. I've never been to a Z convention, and I've been a Z owner for a total of 8 years. Sad...

Yup, same here. This is my 3rd Z and I have yet to attend anything worthwhile other than the typical meeting up with other local Z owners. This Syracuse event sounds like it would be quite entertaining. (plus I would be there with my Z)
