I recieved my second 1st place trophy today at a local car show.

It was a last minute decision so I didn't really had a chance to prep my car. To make matters worse it wasn't a People's Choice Award, this was the first time I my car was actually judged by five judges. I freaked out a little when I found out about this

Wouldn't you know it the only time that I didn't prep my car it was being judged

Oh well I guess I had nothing to worry about.

Nice job Bluedragon!

So, is the lesson here - Z's will win, regardess of prep?
Haha. Glad to hear you won despite the lack of prep. I remember a show here where the judges took off points from Julian for dust even though his car was spotless. Glad to hear not all judges are such pr!cks
congrats !
are you completely stock except for the pop charger ?

Thanks everyone.

No, I didn't really do anything to prep her aside from a wash one hour prior to the show.

TrackZ03, I think the lesson here is if you maintain your Z you're always ready for a car show.

One other reason she looks good too is that, last week I applied a coat of 1Z Paint Polish and a coat of NXT. The NXT basically keeps her paint condition this way for several weeks but I always apply a new coat every other week anyway.
Believe it or not I didn't really get the result that I wanted with the wax application last week so I'm re-doing it this week. It should be a two day detail. What's missing is an additional depth in the paint.

LBSOHK, yeah I'm stock aside from the ground wires and pop charger.

good job BlueDragonZ! it is always good to start small. if you can take something from each event you enter you will be better off in the next. that was my approach with my old specV, it did well in car shows.

i just won 'Best Z in Show' at the Pat Peck Nissan 2nd Annual Z day. there were about 40 Z's old and new! best of luck on your future car shows!!

WOW, congrats on your award!!!! You were probably toting that BIG gun around that's why they voted for your car.
