I assume you're referring to the coupe? There's been a G35 sedan on sale in a Sydney car yard for a couple of weeks now, that I'm aware of.

For a European? I don't get it.. the G35 is Japanese :lmfao:

Didn't mean to bag on the car, in fact, I looked at one before purchasing my Z. I'm just glad I got the Z instead because of how my area is, and the types of people who own G's. Individuality is fun, and sadly, if you own a G by me you are just one of the sheep. I'd rather be a wolf.. thus the Z.

heh, yeah thanks dunc.

to clear things up i dont have one yet. i am from sydney and have made full payment on a V35 350gt which is still under compliance at a caryard/workshop. to my knowledge none have been cleared yet and are not legally being driven on australian roads (except of course by the dealer/compliancer and people test driving them)

dude can i get you to elablorate on what you mean? did your "friend" buy a coupe? or a sedan? and is he in the process of importing it?

also the other mention of a turbo one running around melbourne. is that registered/complied/in somebodies name? or just in the hands of the importer/seller

would like to know thanks

Cheers

he had problems getting it complied, had to change things seat belts, lights, ect ect

if you would like more info i could ask for you.

the turbo G35 used by APS is a LHD version imported from the States... and I think they use VIC Trader place instead of the normal registered plate... and I personally haven't seen any G35 on the streets yet in Melbourne... I also heard that Nissan Australia is considering importing that car officially from a magazine called High Performance IMPORTs?!

cheers,

SMH's Drive

Nissan is also contemplating bringing the 206 kW Skyline (aka Infinity G35) sedan and performance 2+2 coupe to Australia, to reintroduce the Infinity (sic) luxury car brand.

The demise of Holden's Monaro could help shore up the case to import the Skyline coupe to meet Monaro-type demand for a stylish performance 2+2 coupe, [Nissan Australia product manager Michael] Hayes says.

"If I could bring those cars into Australia tomorrow as an Infinity with a fully fledged dealer network capable of supporting the vehicle, I'd do it," he says.

Drive sampled these cars too. The Skyline sedan is set up as a powerful cruiser but the coupe is altogether a sharper drive. But first there's business cases to put together, and a complication is that any move to re-establish the Infinity brand here involves setting up specialist dealerships, which takes time, and the current product is already halfway through its product lifecycle.

"We've already had discussions . . . about the ability for Australia to support an Infinity network," Mr Hayes says.
