Went to the track yesterday, was there for 5 hours only got 3 runs in. My previous best with all these mods minus the ECU was a 13.74 @ 104 with a 2.1 60ft. My best stock was a 13.77 @ 101 with a 2.05 60ft.

1st run:

60ft - 2.216<----Worst I have pulled ever, usually pull 2.0's
1/8 - 8.889 @ 83.58
1/4 - 13.585 @ 106.17 <----Very happy with this trap speed

2nd run: I mounted up some used slicks I bought-my first run ever with slicks, please excuse the weak a$$ 60ft, I didnt pull the brake fuse I barely warmed them up....

60ft - 1.956 <----Weak I know
1/8 - 8.481 @ 84.51
1/4 - 13.136 @ 107.09 <---This is the highest n/a trap speed Ive personally seen/heard of on here for a Z

3rd run: Pulled the brake fuse, warmed up the tires more, and what do you know I fuked it up-I bogged bad off the line, I dropped the clutch at about 6000 rpm's, I should have slipped it some, anyways...

60ft - 1.895 <----Better but still $hit imo
1/8 - 8.467 @ 83.87
1/4 - 13.161 @ 106.15

Overall I am VERY happy with the traps Im pulling, especially considering I dont have headers or cams. I am also very happy for going 13.1 on a weak 1.9 60ft, Ive seen guys go 1.7's and run 13.0-13.1. I really wanted to keep running on street tires because with my usual 2.0 60ft, I would have been 13.2-13.3 easy. And if I would have hit my mid to low 1.7 60ft like I wanted to on the slicks 12.8's are not out of the question. I just need more time to learn how to launch them, play with tire pressure's ect, Ill go 12's this season for sure For those that dont know my mods are : JWT Pop-charger, Crawford Plenum, Test-pipes, Crank Pulley, Injen Exhaust, Technosquare ECU---this set-up = 262 whp 252 ft lbs SAE corrected on a dynojet. Comments, suggestions? All are welcome....

****, that's some good driving! Your 60ft times are nothing to sneeze at; anything under 2 is great.

Well a mid 1.9 and a very high 1.8 imo suck, remember this is on slicks. I know most guys eventually pull 1.7 60ft's on slciks and thats what I was shooting for, but no way I could learn to launch on them in only 2 runs. Cant wait to get back to the track.

Nice runs man! Good to see things like this.. it gives us all hope that turbo isnt the only way to make good numbers at the track.

WOW! Glad to hear that you got such good times. Different tracks at different elevations can make a world of a difference. Great job on the times, good driving!

Thanks guys, it felt good running decent times. A lot of people were coming up and asking what I had done then Id tell them and they'd say "wow I didnt know they could be that fast with those mods"....I was excited about the 107 trap speed. For comparison, there was a sweet black CTS-V 400hp LS6 and he "only" trapped 108-he ran 13.4. There was a turbo S2000 there running 13.2 @ 109-I was shocked he only trapped 2mph higher than me. And my favorite guy-this tool I was always behind in staging in an RX-8-he couldnt break the 14's! LOL, he was going 15.2-15.4 and he would come back after every run and make up an excuse, you guys know the type. I cant wait to get some more time on the slicks, a 1.7 60ft with my trap will be 12's for sure....

was that RX8 spinning through 1st, sleeping at the tree?

or just that slow?

A lot of potential in an LS-6...but I'd want that motor in a different car.

Hed bog off the line and couldnt shift-his best was 14.9 he said. Sleeping @ the tree wont affect your 1/4 times btw, clock starts once you trip the lights.

Where were you racing...MIR? I was considering going back up there once I finally get my car back together. Congrats on the great times. You will hit those 1.7's easy with more practice.

No Ive never been to MIR, I went to Cecil County, which imo is MUCH better than Capitol where I ran my 13.7 stock. And I hear MIR is better than Cecil, Ill check it out eventually.
