Hi All,

I'm new to the forum. I am planning to buy a 35th anniversary and wanted some advice. Would you guys recommend me buying the z now or waiting to see if the tire/suspension issue was fixed once and for all? :helpsmilie: Also... does the clear bra take too much of the "paint shine" or any at all? I've read that paint seems to be another issue with the Z's. - P

:welcome: Well my advice, just get the Z! I've had mine for almost 2 years now and love her! Problems and all (feathering was only a problem till I put my volks on and got a first rate alignment, no feathering since then). The clear bra can be polished just like the paint can........I would recommend getting the clear bra before you put the first mile on her b/c yes, the paint is pretty thin and chips easily. I regret not getting the clear bra now, my nose looks like I drove thru a fence at high speeds.....you won't regret getting the clear bra, and you won't regret getting the Z NOW! :wavey:

Get it now. My '04 has 12K miles on the OE tires and there is very little feathering, no more than would be expected seeing as you cannot rotate the tires. I think the problem is largely fixed (tire wear problem that is) so long as you keep the tire pressure up to spec's. And I would recommend a reputable shop do your alignment and give you a print out of the specs to prove it when they are done.

As far as thin paint.....who knew (?). I have no problems so far (albeit a few small chips....eehhh it hapens if you drive it). Just keep it waxed with a quality non-abrassive synthetic wax.

I am new here too.. but welcome anyway!
