Keeps you from getting a check engine light if I'm not mistaken.

That's correct. You don't want that SES light on all the time, so you trick the ECU into thinking you have stock or regular cats on the exhaust system.

If they're resonated, I should think not. Besides, who cares in a state that doesn't test? :clap: :shiftdrive:

HFCs won't need these. The HELP! method is the way to go for getting rid of the SES light due to eliminating the cats.

HELP! Spark plug non fouler. Part 42002 for 3.99 from autozone.
They are a 2 pack. Get two packs and drill 2 of the nonfoulers out with a 1/2" drill bit. screw the NON driilled nonfouler into the test pipe. Then screw the DRILLED nonfouler into the non drilled fouler - install your o2 sensor into that. You will be SES light free and it will cost you less than $10 and about 1/2 hour of time.

PM me if you need help

Heck, Colin could literally drive over and get it done in your new 'tool shed.' :thumbsup:

If you show up at my house, Colin/WHOZNXT will be there.

BTW, any word on your single turbo kit?

TT kit - Get it right :shiftdrive: - no word yet, it should be about 7 wks (I need the time to come up with the rest of the $)

The shed/shop is still a week or two out. The wiring and piping are being done this weekend and the cement work will be mid week or next weekend.

If someone needs a hand with the HELP! method and wants to drive out to my place, I will do it. That said, you need to have a flexible schedule, but it only takes about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour at most and I can do it at my house.

No problem. Just make sure you only drill the outer nonfouler on each bank or it won't work

It should be installed like this:

o2 Sensor ->Drilled Nonfouler ->NON drilled nonfouler-> testpipe

This is about the simplest install, but if someone in my area needs it done, I will help out and take pics and put together a How-to.

EDIT :

found THIS HOW_TO
