-I guess the rumor has it that it'll be closer to 500hp, rather than low to mid 400 (they said 480)
- it'll most likely will be the VQ35. At least the weaker engine components will be beefed up.
- They're shooting for low-mid 3 seconds for 0-60.
- possibility of boring the engine to 3.8
- TT for sure
- 70k (better than the previous 75k)
- awd - I'm curious to know about the top end performance
- 8500 rpm redline WOOHOO!
- 20" stock wheels
- 8:5:1 compression
- brembos
- 7 speed sequential w/paddle shift

Are you stirring the pot? Where did you read about that info? That's pretty high expectations for Nissan. If it's true, great! But then that means there is no way they're going to sell it for around $60-70k...

That 0-60 estimate is unrealistic for the horsepower, we will be lucky to see 4.0 seconds.

sports compact mag. truth or not, it's the very latest update on the GT-R. I pretty much pickup any mag that features gt-r.. most of them are like 6 month old, but this is so far the latest speculated specs.

0-60 is not all about HP. Tranny plays a far more important part with 0-60, and with AWD, 7 seq, and good lsd, we should see something pretty torquey. only obsticle I see is the weight.. I'm figuring it maybe 3500ish lbs or more.. so they better do some serious weight shaving.

See the 997TT 480HP 0-60MPH in 3.2secs. Yes it is possible! Motor Trend tested the 0-60MPH in winter climates!

SCM has what they call the "latest" specs, but I've heard about those specs since 2004. It's not the 'latest', it's just regurgitated rumors that weve heard in one form or another. But they are right on, or at least close to what we think will come out, although they really get their info from forums like us.

maybe about the FI and pricing, but nobody ever speculated anything about the rpm range and compression. They didn't even have an engine when the the car debuted in Japan. I highly doubt they get specs from forums.. I know for a fact some of those guys dig pretty hard up in the nissan food chain.

Anything right now claiming to have "latest specs" is obviously all rumors. I wish there was more information out about the car, fortunately it's less than a year and a half away.

I know editors from both SCM and Modified, and trust me, they do searching on forums, not the editors themselves per say, but someone from the Magazine who searches for the "latest" scoops online. You don't actually believe the crap that comes after the "Sources say..." part do you? Who do you think their sources are lol? Us! Everything in magazines comes from the internet, they don't actually contact Nissan, and sometimes even the best magazines print old news to us, which to some readers might seem knew. Some people online see the 2001 concept video and are 'WOWED' by it, because they never seen it. Imagine Non-GTR fans, or just people who read magazines, they get wowed by stuff we seen 5 years ago on the GT-R! Since I'm involved in Mags, I know how it goes. Goes just like this.

are you kidding? when editors of magazine sits down for an interview with the engineers of GT-R and designers, you're saying it's all BS? To me, it's a process of rumor-elimination. When the GTR debuted in Japan, there wasn't even an engine. Performance was all speculation. 4.5 liter v8 was rumored for the longest time, but it's pretty much confirmed there wouldn't be one. Most people speculated 19" wheels and some even said 18"s but nobody assumed 20" cuz of the weight penalty. compression ratio and rpm is something that came about very recently. The engine code recently was disclosed to be VQ32DET and that was something new as well. You can't believe everything you read, but there are of handful of articles that have weight and significance to it. Of course we won't know the 'exact' specs until the moment of production, but pivotal information leakage will bring the public pretty damn close to the real thing.
