Been toying with doing the tinted overlays on my rear tail lights. VA is really anal about tint and headlight/tail light covers. Are these as dark as the old school hard plastic tint covers?? Basically i don't wanna put them on, then get a "fix it" ticket the next day. Any one ever get a ticket for them? Thanks!

I overlaid all my lights. No problems as of May 2006. I did use a thick tint on the exterior in the event I did have to remove it.

I haven't had problems but I live in Alabama. It isn't legal here either, neither is dark window tint, not having cats, tag covers, loud exhausts... it's all about pushing what you can get away with. Might not be so easy in VA though.

What tint overlays would you suggest?

I've been thinking about getting these...
Nissan 350Z (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) Tail Light & Turn Signal Covers

Anyone have any experience with this company? Or is an overlay an overlay?
