Thought this might be helpful to those wanting to tint their windows. By no means is this up to date information, so if any of you have links to more current data, please post up and help out your fellow enthusiast.

I have always been told by tint shops that the legal side limit in Texas is 35%. The 1st chart shows 25%. The 2nd chart shows 35%.

I think it's ridiculous that IL is one of 2 (or very few for that matter if this is out of date) states that don't allow tint at all. I understand the reasons they say we can't tint, but why are there SO many states that do allow it? Stupid if you ask me.....

NJ is allowed NO tint on the front windows, that sucks. Oh well at least they don't seem to enforce it much around here.

There are plenty of rediculous laws around the world..

you mean laws like "you can marry your cousin in Alabama as long as one of her father's says it's OK?"

I just made that up, but there are some old ass laws that are so out of touch with reality...know any good ones?
