Dogzilla, that's a nice LE you got there.

Here in CA it is impossible to keep those late (last) models on the road legally because of the conflict between passing smog and the car actually being drivable. Most of them keep the smog pump in a box just to bring it out every two years for the trip to the station. Meanwhile the cat is glowing orange.

They do have one of the smoothest MG motors of all time though.

Chris

As soon as I had the plugs and wires replaced, the valves adjusted, and carburetor tuned....I garaged it.

But before that, I had the insides of the catalytic converter taken out. It's placed under the carb, and was heating it so much the fuel was vaporizing in the carb.

So now it doesn't cook the fuel, and purrs like a kitten.

Plus, there are no smog tests here.

Your Sprite reminds me of an Alfa I had in 1987. Fun damn car, that I wish I had kept. Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep the MG until I get an offer I can't refuse.

Michael

I can't seem to find the 'newer' thread, but I know it's around somewhere. In the meantime, this thread is probably bigger and longer than the other one and has more pics from some of the OG on this site.

I just tested my new handheld scanner I got for Christmas and decided to try it out on the only photo I have of my other Z.

This was a picture of my 99' Ek when I was selling it back in 2007. Sold the car with stock civic hub caps. I had special edition integra ls stocks before. Built by Forest and Jerad at Checkered Flag Motorsports (CFM).
-H&R Race springs
-Tokico Shocks
-B16 head with Ls Integra 1.8l Block (ls-vtec)
-10:1 compression
-Eagle Rods
-Arias Pistons (bored over 82mm)
-ARP head and rod bolts
-sleeved
-Computer (Obd 1)(No rev limiter)
-190hp All motor
-With a 50 shot of nitrous, 230hp. I never got around to do a direct port 100shot. Which is what I wanted to do but never got around to buying the injectors(I had a Holly in-tank fuel pump waiting to be installed). Sold the motor and bought a 97' Ninja zx-7r :D

I love old threads like this one. Good memories. Too bad most of my pictures are of 35mm quality or missing from all my moves.
