Back From my350z

Hi All,

So I'm not "new" as I introduced myself earlier this year but since then I moved to my350z. Got myself into a little trouble after bad decisions (no alcohol involved) and smacked up against a guardrail. Decided to share my story on my350z and got some good flaming telling me i'm an idiot even though I knew it was my fault for driving with & in adverse conditions. Tell me something I don't friggin' know, smartasses. Figured that place isn't a very good place to share stories so I decided to come back to where it all started. You could say it's butthurt from flaming I got over there but with the high pop density there, many of them are young 20 yr-olds that don't get enough trolling on 4chan.

Haven't lost hope in my Z and I am in the process of rebuilding. Got all my chassis parts ordered and new Mishimoto radiator + fans. The body is going to have to wait until my wallet replenishes itself but until then, zipties will do (sorry for the people who have to look at her in this condition). The project will end up looking really nice as once I get started on the body work, it'll involve an Amuse front and Chargespeed rear topped with Bayside Blue TV2 paint from the R34 Skyline.

And because you guys will ask:

This was her before the accident:

After said accident:

To be honest, I thought the folks over there were moderate in their criticism.

Some of the guys provided insightful criticism. The experience made me realize how stupid it is to ride worn tires. I did everything wrong at the situation too and pretty much put myself in a skid.

Welcome back. The pic you posted makes it look bad, but it sounds like the rebuild will be worth it. Keep us posted, especially with pics.

never really liked it over there - way too many people worried about what subs to put in their trunk and what color neon lights to put under their ride…I can't spend too much more than 5 minutes looking through old post before I never want to have kids...

Not knowing your road rules but a new headlight might be worth it to avoid any unwanted attention.

Yeah, new headlights would be a good idea. Probably one of the more important ones since the Northern Hemisphere is creeping its way into winter.

Thanks a bunch. It really ISN'T that bad but it's all the crap I did that put myself in the situation that's killing me. The rebuild will be awesome but it's going to all come out of my wallet.

Main thing that bothered me was the level of maturity. Though I'm not trying to incite some forum war argument of which is better because it's obviously preference... just saying I prefer my forums to have enthusiasts that discuss technical things rather than argue over who's got the bigger e-peen.

I know I made a dumb decision but I don't need 20 guys telling me I'm an idiot and should sell my car.

Agreed... Looking to upgrade to 06+ headlights though they're pricey... Going to bite the bullet I guess.

It's an OEM Nismo V1 spoiler. I maybe looking to sell it too once I take it off. Really indifferent towards it as it came with the car...

---

As for an update though, I'll post some pics of shiny new parts in boxes once they arrive on my doorstep.
