18 MPG bad???

hi, I have a 2003 touring 6sp 350Z.I have changed plugs, new fuel pump, air filter is good but I only average around 18mpg is this what Y'all are getting or what is the deal?I think the clutch is a bit bad but I don't think a little slipping should cause too much excessive fuel use, would it?The car has good power but is eating me out of house and home. This is a stock vehicle only mods are a cold air intake and a larger aftermarket exhaust, no turbo or anything.

Welcome and you left out some critical info to answer your question:

-What kind of driving are you doing? Mostly city? Or all highway?
-How many miles are on your Z?
-What brand and type of spark plugs did you use?
-Have you scanned for any codes in memory?
-Are you measuring the MPG by hand or using the digital gauge?
