Thumbs up

I am new to this site and need a little help. I am looking for a dealership in southern California that is mod friendly. I have an 03 with 12000 miles on it and the tranny is making noise. My mods are an Injen intake and B&M short shifter. I am concerned that the dealership will blame the tranny noise on the shifter, even though it started to make noise before it was installed. It seems that the tranny is a problem on this car. I use it as my daily driver and do not abuse it. Any help would be great.

Your mods should not be an issue. A dealer can only deny you warranty coverage if your modification caused the problem.

First one to pop up in my mind is Performance Nissan. They're very active on the Z sites, plus they sell a lot of aftermarket items and race, too!

Where is performance Nissan located? I need a dealership that can service my car somewhere in Southern California. I don't mind driving a little but within a 100 miles. Thanks for the help.

Hey Doormat! Well Performance Nissan is the only way to go. I had 2 350's before with tranny problems and they treated me great even though I had mods. The current Z has no problems but I still go there for all my mods whatever it is. I dont know where in So Cal you are but if you are familiar with the 210 freeway then its simple. Its on the Buena Vista exit in Duarte. If you are coming westbound it is right of the off ramp of the freeway. in other words the FWY ramp goes directly into their Lot. If you are coming eastbound then make a left turn at the Buena Vista Light, go under the bridge then make an immediate right next light under the bridge..........you will see them. Let me know if you need further info about them. Their number is (626)353-3000. If I remember correctly. Their website is: www.mynismo.com

Wish you luck. Keep us posted on what happens.
