hi guys,

I plan on doing a good NA engine. If I plan on doing a port/polish job and adding some bigger cams to the VQ35, how does the ECu will control the air/fuel ratio? I mean how does the ECu will ''know'' that I have done this modification to the engine? Sorry for the noob question...

thanks

Tune, tune, tune. I don't think porting and polishing is going to do what you think. Adding the bigger cams will definitely be an obvious bump in power, but you'll need to compliment it with other mods such as an ECU reflash or going with an aftermarket engine management system. I'd suggest doing a lot of reading before installing newer cams. Perhaps when you purchase that cam, you might want to ask the vendor/shop what else they would recommend.

I know several members have installed a bigger cam and could probably chime in on their experiences.
