Good writeup. I'd add one thing tho: BE SURE to soundproof the dash kit. Mine makes all kinds of noises over bumps and uneven roads, and I've been too busy to fit it with some dynamat or the like. The radio will bounce against the kit over bumps, and the kit is plastic so the sound is very audible.
