This page covers front strut tower bars for the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35.
When you corner, the whole 350Z chassis is twisting slightly. In the front (and perhaps at the back, but not so often) the suspension pillars will be moving relative to each other because there's no direct physical link between them. They are connected via the car body, which can flex depending on its stiffness. A strut brace bolts across the top of the engine to the tops of the two suspension posts and makes that direct physical contact. The result is that the whole front suspension setup becomes a lot more rigid and there will be virtually no movement relative to each side. In effect, you're adding the fourth side to the open box created by the subframe and the two suspension pillars. Strut bars can help stiffen up the front end of a car under heavy cornering. The 350z comes with an adjustable front strut bar as standard equipment. However, you can spice up your engine bay with one of the many aftermarket strut bars. Various finishes are available including carbon fiber, aluminum, polished, and titanium. If you choose to go with an aftermarket plenum or roots type supercharger, many of these strut bars will not fit. However, there are some designed with an upgraded plenum in mind and will clear in front of these plenums. Check the notes to determine which best suites your needs.
The Infiniti G35 does not come with an OEM strut bar, however see below for aftermarket options.

The normal type strut bars are designed similar to the stock bar and fit in the stock location. These clear the stock plenum and some of the aftermarket plenum spacers. (See the plenum spacer page for more info). Various materials and finishes are available for a range of prices and personal taste.

The special type strut bars mount using the stock bolt locations, but protrude forward of the engine to clear the aftermarket plenums and roots-type superchargers. The APS and Crawford have not yet been confirmed to clear the Stillen supercharger. If your 350Z has significant intake manifold upgrades, or a roots type supercharger, you will need one of these designs to maintain the front suspension stiffness that your car requires.

These strut bars are designed specifically for the G35. Since the G35 does not come with a strut bar as standard equipment, this minor upgrade can have a definite impact on handling and road feel.
