Magnetic Black is a new color introduced for the 2006 model year. Magnetic Black replaces, the now retired, Super Black. The Magnetic Black differentiates itself from the Super Black by being a pearlescent paint. Under low light conditions the paint appears as a standard gloss black finish. Yet, under bright sunlight the paint takes on a slight iridescent quality with hints of blues and green flecks.
Magnetic Black is kown as Black Obsidian when equipped on the Infiniti G35.
