Nissan Navigation System
With the available Nissan Navigation System* you get a GPS-based DVD-ROM system finished nicely with a 7-inch color monitor. It can show you where you're at on a normal map or through the patented 3-Dimensional Birdviewâ„¢. Program your destination, and Voice Guidance will talk you through every turn. If you're looking for an ATM, hospital, or gas station, the Quick Stop feature will find it.
- Never program while driving. GPS mapping may not be detailed in all areas or reflect current road regulations. Navigation System is inoperable in Hawaii and Alaska. It is operational in the contiguous 48 states.
Nav Compartment
Stereo
The available Bose audio system features an in-dash 6-CD changer with MP3 CD capability that can store up to 1,000 songs. All pumped through seven speakers, including a 10" subwoofer, that were precisely positioned by Bose, and controlled through the available illuminated steering wheel audio controls.
Environment Controls
Set it and forget it. Pick your desired climate, and the fan, temperature, and vent locations will automatically adjust to maintain it.
Shifter
The Z six-speed is a one-of-a-kind shift lever (padded on the front and back, for a more intuitive throw) with an incredibly short and quick throw between very well-defined gates. All connected to a transmission set up for close-ratio gearing from first to fifth for high-performance driving, and a tall overdrive sixth gear for highway economy.
Arm Rest
Steering Wheel
Race Car Inspired Steering Wheel
The smoother the arc, the better the driver. Simple enough in theory. But in practice, it takes lots of practice. When you reach to the wheel of the Z, you'll notice that it's not simply round and cushy. Covering an inner core of expensive, lightweight magnesium is a precise tuning of cushioning and leather, complete with strategically placed grips, all designed to help provide secure and intuitive hand placement as well as precise control. Keeping your arcs smooth, your revs up, and your hands happy.
Seats
Unique Driver's Seat
The Z driver's seat is constructed with a cushion that's firm and long for additional support. The seat back is sculpted with large wings, helping to assure a secure driving position during quick lateral acceleration. And the wings are tapered below the shoulders to avoid any interference during aggressive gear-changing or cornering. (Uniquely designed driver's seat not available with Roadster's Burnt Orange Leather ventilated seats.)
Ventilated Roadster Seats
When you choose the Burnt Orange Leather seats, the Z Roadster comes equipped with ventilated mesh seats that help maintain your desired comfort level inside. So innovative they’ll send a shiver down your spine (the good kind).
Power seat controls help you find the optimum seating position.
Other
Behind-seat Storage
At some point, you will have to use your Z for pursuits other than empty exit ramps and forgotten mountaintop roads. Which is why we made sure there is plenty of cargo space. Fold the passenger seat forward, and you've got a large storage bin, able to carry a laptop or briefcase. Throughout the cabin are numerous smaller storage compartments for maps and cell phones. And the rear cargo area offers enough space for two golf bags as well as tie-down hooks to help keep them secure through the chicane that leads to the clubhouse.
Aluminum Pedals
Main Gauges
When you climb into a Z, one of the first things you'll notice is the single-mindedness of the cockpit. Built for performance. Not distractions. Gauges whose height adjusts with the steering wheel, to assure excellent visibility at all times. A large tach mounted front and center because of its importance, coupled with an available programmable shift indicator light.
On the dash, three gauges tell you almost everything you need to know, including a drive computer that tells you: Current mph, average mph, mpg, distance to empty, driving time and outside temperature.
Programmable Shift Light
Not all computers are boring. In the tach of the Nissan Z® is a programmable shift indicator light. Choose your shift points and it will flash as you close on the specified rpm, and turn solid once you reach it, helping you get to highway speed quicker.
HomeLink/Auto-dimming Rearview Mirror
There is nothing cooler than a multitasking rearview mirror. It dims bright headlights behind you, opens your garage doors and even opens the security gate.
Not available on standard Z model.
Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System
Seamlessly link with your Bluetooth-compatible cell phone the moment you enter your Z. Once connected, voice-recognition technology allow you to make and receive calls through your vehicle's audio system, and more1. All while keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.
Availability of specific features is dependent upon the phone's Bluetooth support. Please refer to your phone owner's manual for details. Cell phone not included. The Bluetooth word mark and logos are owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc., and any use of such marks by Nissan is under license. See specifications for availability.
Rear Strut Brace
Inside the rear cargo area, under the hatch, is an integrated strut tower brace, beautifully sculpted and finished in brushed aluminum. It helps rigidity during acceleration and cornering.
