Garmin Nuvi 660 mounted in 350Z cubbyhole

It is possible to mount a Garmin Nuvi 660 personal navigator in the 350Z cubbyhole. The trick to getting the Nuvi mounted far enough back so the cubbyhole door will close is to replace the ball mount that came with the nuvi 660 with the shorter ball mount from the Garmin StreetPilot i3, part number 010-10675-10, "Suction Cup Mount, STPi3". I bought this mount from MountGuys.com.

How to mount it

Use the adhesive dashboard mount disc that came with your Nuvi - stick it to back of the cubbyhole

Attach the suction cup mount from the StreetPilot i3

Final Result
