1. Insure that you have the correct kit prior to installation.
2. Read directions completely and review supplied diagram before starting.
3. Disconnect ground side cable on battery.
4. Remove Power Steering Reservoir from its mounting bracket using a flat head screwdriver. It is not necessary to disconnect any lines, just push reservoir out of the way to allow access to the passenger side frame rail.
5. On frame rail (passenger side) under power steering reservoir locate two 8mm and one 6mm bolts that secure two brackets to the frame rail and set bolts aside, new fasteners are provided. Also at this time cut ties holding wire looms to front of inner fender and push looms out of the way for better access.
6. Locate ground strap mounted to passenger side of Timing Chain Cover (TCC) and remove (this is where one end of engine dampener will mount). Re-locate ground wire to location above where gold coolant hose bracket mounts to engine, use OEM bolt. (fig 1)
7. Below ground strap is the Power Steering pump bracket, remove bolt securing Power Steering Pump bracket to TCC, install bracket “A†over pump bracket and re-install bolt loosely. (see diagram)
8. On frame rail, using supplied 8 and 6mm fasteners mount bracket “B†in location of removed bolts on top of existing brackets. (see diagram and fig. 2)
9. Mount Dampener’s non-adjustable end to Bracket “B†with 3/8 SHCS, washers and Nylok nut. (fig.3)
10. Align mounting hole in Dampener and mounting hole in TCC by Adjusting end of Dampener, it is critical to get this alignment correct to ensure the bolt doesn’t cross thread during installation. Install M8 x 35mm bolt and lock washer through bracket “A†then dampener into TCC and tighten both bolts. (fig.4 and diagram)
