With the available Nissan Navigation System* you get a GPS-based DVD-ROM system finished nicely with a 7-inch color monitor. It can show you where you're at on a normal map or through the patented 3-Dimensional Birdviewâ„¢. Program your destination, and Voice Guidance will talk you through every turn. If you're looking for an ATM, hospital, or gas station, the Quick Stop feature will find it.
Never program while driving. GPS mapping may not be detailed in all areas or reflect current road regulations. Navigation System is INOPERABLE in Hawaii and Alaska. It is operational in the CONTIGUOUS 48 states.

I have a 2005 Nissan 350Z that I bought with the birdview navigation system. I would like to bring it back to Europe and was wondering if the same system is functional there. I looked on the specifications and cannot find out. Does anyone know?
I also have an 04 350Z imported from Japan, it came with OEM navigation and the jap Birdview Nav DVD. Does anyone know what is needed to get this to American/UK spec, Nissan dealers have told me I need The UK DVD, others have said i need the DVD and a program CD-ROM. 1 told me i cant be done.
In short: NO. The DVD player does not have the proper firmware to decode a movie DVD. You have two options if you want to watch DVDs in a navigation equipped 350Z. Either install a seperate screen or you can buy a unit that will switch the input to the stock navi screen over to another source (seperate dvd player) and play it from there.
Yes, you can get the PAC Audio VCI-X and wire it in to the display. Wiring Diagram: http://www.pac-audio.com/vcix/vcix_instructions.asp
