Base to HID Headlight Swap

From Nissan 350Z & 370Z Wiki

This tutorials will show you what is needed to convert the 2003 through 2005 model year Base model 350Z headlights to the OEM HID version.

What you will need

1. Left and Right wiring harness cut from a Nissan Murano, but any 8-pin Nissan should work
2. Soldering iron
3. Solder
4. Electrical tape
5. Basic hand tools to remove the headlamps

I am going to refer to all of the wires as numbers according to their location on the harness.

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!!

I have included a simple drawing of the harness, to give you an idea of how to look at the harness.

Ok, connect them like this both on the left and right side.

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, but it has worked for others. We take no liability on your mistakes. Also be sure and solder all your connections, and tape them up or heat shrink them well. I blew a 10 amp taillight fuse when I first hooked them up, and I replaced it, and it hasn't done it since.......once again DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
