hi there,

am just new here and this is my first post, i have a question regarding on my brand new rotors (powerslot) and brake pad (hawk-HPS fero Carbon) front end installation.

my question is;

is it possible, upon new installation that with the new brake pads and rotor will rub into each other without depressing the brake pedal?

is this normal? up until it is used for a few kilometers.

it is making some noise and i have driven it on a really slow speed for about 12 kilometers around the neighbor at very low speed. =(

any inputs would be appreciated

Thanks in advance.

btw i have the 2008 350z GT with brembo brakes.

Changed my rotors to slotted drilled rotors, but the rear pssger side made some noise from the new brakes. I took it out to clean and made sure its straight again. A day later, its making another noise like something clicking/hitting the wheel as it turns.

I looked for any type of objects in the way of the wheel but couldn't see anything.
Im wondering if when I bang on the old rotor to get it out, I could've messed up the alignment ? or worst bent a joint or somethin worse ? ?

You guys have any clues ? I wanna fix this at home though not takin it to the shop and get charged! :)

I'm looking for brake pads for a 2008 Touring 350z. This is a non-Brembo model. Everything about the car is stock.

I take the car out to the track once or twice a year, so I want them to perform on the street, but also be more resistant to fade than stock pads (last time I went out I almost hit a wall cause of brake fade and my stupidity...).

Sorry if this has been gone over before, but I've been searching for a few hours and have had no luck. Most of the pads I find are Brembo - for the ones that aren't it takes a PhD to determine whether they fit the stock calipers.
