Hello peoples of the Tech,
I wanted to get some advice or tips on cutting through FRP, is there anything I should be doing or not doing before and after? I'm thinking of getting a replica bumper of a branded design and messing about with it so it suits my taste. I may be cutting bits off, then filling it and blending it to match the rest of the kit (I'm using a Nismo V1 kit with a replica Nismo E-type spoiler) Nothing concrete just yet, just ideas and would be great to have any advice rather than carry out trial and error.

The technique I've read is to place a moderately sticky tape (blue painters tape, etc), over the line you're going to cut. Then use a Dremel or similar to cut the actual line. The tape will keep the edge of the fiberglass together as you cut the material. I'd plan on having any cut edges covered by other parts or blended in, as the edge won't look perfect.

I would wear gloves and a mask of some kind. You don't wanna breath the dust or get it on your skin, you'll itch for days.
