350z 2006 stock rear tires recommendation please

Where is the best place to buy price/performance rear tires for stock 2006 350z base model?

The car is completely stock: I believe this is the Tire Size 245/45-18:

Currently the car has:
Dunlop Direzza DZ101 245/45R18 96W

These tires haven't bothered me. Car is casually driven about 20 miles, twice a week just to work and back. No racing or spinning tires at stop lights anymore.

I failed the TX inspection for rear tire tread.

Thanks!!!

The question should be: what brand and type of tire is on your front axle? It's usually good practice to use the same brand and model tire on both the front and rear axle. And if you front tires are trash, then it's time to buy a whole new set of four.

As far as price, if it's a major brand, price out the model on Tire Rack and see if your local tire shops won't meet or beat it.

Thank you for the reply. I compared against tire rack and found that good year and discount tires practically matched all prices within about $5. I ended up going with Dunlop's DZ102 for the rear. The DZ102 is supposed to be an upgrade to the front tires DZ101 so I think it should be safe..... I hope. At least that is what this noob went with since the tire tread on the front tires is still pretty good.

Was that a good decision?

Thanks!!!

Sounds like a well-reasoned tire choice!
