So, a friend of mine the other day mentioned something about my car weighing in at around 3200 lbs during a conversation we were having about cars. I quickly corrected him, informing him that my car is a fat pig that weighs 3815 lbs according to the sticker on my door sill. Well, later on, I did some internet research which seemed to confirm what my friend had said. What's the deal with this?

I have an '03 Enthusiast which is supposedly one of the lightest 350z out there.

The sticker you are talking about is the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) which is the maximum allowable weight of the vehicle, fuel, passengers and cargo all added together. It is not the actual weight of the car.

Brent, tell your GF that you need to go on a massive diet to help the Z move along. She might freak out thinking you're going to look like a zombie for the sake of Z power.

Actually the enthusiast can weight up to 3,400+ same thing with the touring. The base model is the lightest at 3185, and the Grand Touring heaviest at 3536. I have been wondering what exactly makes them vary so much, if anyone has some good info on this it would be an awesome post. Normally I would automatically say power seats and stereo options, but the anniversary has these and weights in as little as the track at 3,225. Does anyone know what could make the Enthusiast and Touring models varie in weight from just over 3,200 to just mid 3,400's, i believe that this would be the answer.

i test drove a 03 fairlady w all the bells and whistles, and settled on a base model at 3188 according to vehix..No Navi, No Leather, No Traction, No VDC..not sure how much weight comes in with the last two, but the navi and the leather are definitely weight gains..

Hmm... Any info on the 03-05 track model weights? I would Assume it would be the light but at least have the lsd, TCS and VDC.
