Anyone know if there is a kit available from Nissan for a in-cabin air filter? I noticed in the service records book that came with my '06 Touring, it said that if you car didnt come with cabin air filter, ask your dealter because there is dealer installed option. Anyone heard of this?

PS Is it worth replacing the stock enging air filter with the K & N air filter?

There is no in cabin filter. I have never heard of a dealer installed option.

Yes, the OEM intake filter is junk. Replace it.

If this is the in cabin microfilter I dont believe the Z has one or a place to put one. Its probably a waste to order it if so.

Just looked at an old thread about this and the Z definately doesnt have one, and cant even put one in the Z. There isn anyplace from the factory that would even allow it.

Just to clarify, I ordered a K & N Air filter to replace the OEM filter that came with the car. Thanks again for the info.

Just came from a Nissan dealer getting an oil change and the tech said I needed to replace my in cabin air filter(79.95) on my 2003 350z along with about $1900 worth of dealer repairs

of course they did…what did the $1900 fix?

Go back for JUST the filter replacement and then ask for the old one back. Should be good for a laugh. And if they insist they did change it, call a lawyer.
