Story begins with my 05 350z starting to get a tad warm when sitting in traffic. Long story short is that my thermo fans are shagged. The car only has roughly 35 thou k's on it.
Did a bit of research n found that it's a pretty common fault between 04 and 06. According to our mates in the u.s they got a letter from Nissan saying that it was a reconised fault n would replace them free of charge within 7 years from purchace or under 80 miles.

So called my local Nissan dealer s'mornin to ask the question. Basicly they said they wouldn't cover shit.
That they had never heard of it and even tho my car has next to no k's if it was out of warranty then it was tuff luck.

Anyone else had any success with Nissan Australia or are they just tight arses?

This may help you ... it's the letter I received from Nissan .. this is a click-able thumbnail and will take you to a full size pic you can download and print off. Take THIS to your dealer ..

My experience says Nissan Australia does not recognise American TSB's - so I vote tight arses. But its worth a shot.

Can understand the TSB situation .. and how they might be a bunch of asses. Note the 1-800 number though. I mean .. I know .. it's for Nissan North America ... but .. possibly .. you .. be cool .. and someone MIGHT help you out. Just saying. They went to this extension of the warranty for the US cars .. seems logical that it should have a similar response for our cousins in OZ. In any case .. wouldn't hurt to try.

Come on man. Budwiser? Meh. MUCH prefer my Foster's

Hey I figure it's worth a shot. Fan motors can't be that expencive but I'm doin this on princable.

On a side note I myself nor any other Aussies I know drink fosters. Infact the only time I hear of one of our country men/women drinking that shit is when there over seas.
Also here in Australia we don't have shrimps. So it would make it difficult for us to throw one on the Barbie. However we do have prawns.
On a more realistic note a dingo may actually take your baby if it's real hungry.

Thanks again for your help.
