Hi,
I recently had a problem with my windows not working at all, as in not coming up or down. is this a fuse issue or is the window motor dead. The central locking doesnt work when I use the lock button from the inside, but when i use the remote it works. Terence |

Window problem is probably a motor issue. Thy thumping the bottom of the insidde of the door with your fist while holding the window up button up to see if the window rises. If it does, then its a window motor problem. I've replaced my drivers side twice and passangers side motor once so far.
Your central locking from inside the car will not lock the drivers door, but will lock the passanger door and hatch. If this your problem, then everything is normal. |

When you open the doors, do the windows drop down about 1/4 inch? If so, your motors are good. You can also test the motors by putting your key in the exterior door lock on the driver side and holding it in the unlock position. The windows should both open. If both motors work, the problem may be in the BCM, since both power window and locking functions go through it. |

As in holding unlock to roll the windows down. Does it not work on the 03 model? |

So, your windows don't do down a bit when you open the doors? Or when you use the key fob or key in the lock to roll them down? I'd say that it is either a motor issue or a BCM issue. Most likely a motor issue. Have you tried thumping the door while holding the switch to see if you can get them to move? The motor brushes wear out and no longer make good contact so the motor won't operate. If you thump on the door, they will temporarily make contact allowing the window motor to operate for a second.
Seat don't work at all? I think that the seats are independent of the BCM so I don't think that that is your issue. Seat switches may be bad. I know some owners have had this issue. edit: The power function of the seat is run through the BCM. That could be your issue. Also may be a fuse or a switch. The seat heaters are independent of the BCM, they still work correct? Lock problem sounds like an issue with the door switch since the BCM is still sending a signal to unlock and lock the doors when the fob is used.

i would say its the BCM but nissan still has my car, The seat heaters do work but the moving of the seats do not. The central locking doesnt lock the passenger side either.
nissan tested all the motors and they sed they are working just fine but they are not winding the windows up and down, they dont know why the doors will not work. |
