Holding the unlock on AU cars does not work. The US have a different system in their cars and is covered in the owners manual from memory

Rizk is corect - while our American friends mean good with their input, their key fobs are different to ours and we don't have some of the functions the US cars have as standard, such as raising the windows with the fob.

Good luck getting your problem sorted Tanny.

got car back from nissan for 2nd time today, they said its not the bcm and all motors seem to be working out fine. Going to get the alarm disconnected as it could be mixing up the signals.

My passenger window sometimes rolls down like 10cm automatically.

It happens when i have the window down and i pull on the window button up to engage the automatic mode and i let it go to let it roll up automatically instead of tapping it.

Sometimes, less often then actually closing, it rolls down 10cm on its own??

To roll it up when this happens i just pull on the button till its all the way up and i let it go when the window closes completely.

Anyone get this problem?

Not sure if this started happening after i got an alarm installed, damn annoying when it happens.

If the wires to the window motor are disconnected/unclipped you may need to re set the software that controls the automatic window drop down/up when the door is opened & closed. If the alarm installers needed to access the inside of your doors they may have disconnected the wires to make it easier to remove the inner door skin for access.

(from the manual) Here is how to reset:

1. Remove the plastic inner door trim. Find the round black plastic patch that covers the access whole (in the inner door skin) to the reset button on the window motor & remove the patch.
2. With the door open, lift up & HOLD the power window switch until the door glass is fully up. Now release the switch.
3. Get inside the vehicle & FULLY close the door. Be careful the glass doesn't hit on the roof panel.
4. Press & HOLD in the reset button on the side of the window motor. While holding the reset button in, fully press down & HOLD, the power window switch until the glass is fully down. (pause a few seconds & you will hear the system click).
5. Release the rest button. Now FULLY lift up & HOLD the power window switch until the glass is fully up. Pause & release.
6. Open the door. The glass should now do its usual 20 mm drop.

CAUTION

Do NOT use the Auto function during the above.
Do not release the reset button until the glass is fully down.

the alarm guy came over today and found that the bcm fuse in the engine had been shorted. He soldered the joins and it blew again. Will go get a new fuse. If it blows will have to check what is causing it. Anyone have suggestions?
