Default Why won't my window go down?

Before I started tinkering thought I'd post and ask for help...

Installed the last piece of trim today after installing dynamat from stem to stern along with new sound system. Also sound proofed the door panels - but did not adjust/change/loosen any of the window mounting hardware. Both windows operate normally until bottom of travel then bind and leave about 1" glass exposed...

I DID install new Hertz 6 1/2" speakers in the doors - but used a 1/2" spacer. Speakers are 66mm mounting depth so total depth in the door should be about 2". I'm guessing that is too deep? Anyone know the maximum mounting depth on the front door?

Default Front Door Speaker Clearance

So since nobody had the answer - thought I'd post this for the next guy...

On my 05 Touring, and probably the other years, the clearance behind the front speaker is 1 3/8" - this is the Maximum Mounting Depth of a replacement speaker without spacers to avoid the door glass in the down position. In case you find reference to using the stock Bose speaker body as a spacer - it is about 1" thick. When researching replacement speakers, this info should give you enough to plan your install.

So for the case of my speaker with a 2 5/8" mounting depth the stock body was inadequate. However a 3/4" MDF ring combined with a 1/2" Metra spacer and a little Dynamat works out fine. Not sure how much you can build out your speaker mount before the door panel interferes - but my setup of about 1 3/8" seems to fit behind the panel just fine.

Gotta use shallow mount speakers. When I built my car, only a few speakers worked. I'm sure there are more options out there today. Otherwise you have to use a huge spacer like mentioned above. I used Infinity shallow mount components up front.
