this seems like a crazy problem. my front wiper fluid does not squirt but the rear works fine... i unplugged the hoses right at the front wiper blades and still no water... there are no visable leaks... i looked at fuses but i didnt see one that would effect it... are there fuses anywhere else besides the battery compartment ?

The fuse for the front washer motor is #84, located on the IPDM E/R near the battery. It's the 4th fuse down in the right hand column of fuses in the IPDM E/R, rated at 10 amps. I recommend you verify the motor is working by having someone activate the front washer while you stand near the right front bumper and listen. If the motor is operating, you have a blocked line. If not, you either have a blown fuse, bad motor, bad switch, or bad connection. You might also download the service manual for your model year from this site and look in the ww.pdf section for all the details on the operation and troubleshooting of the wipers and washers.

I can hear my washer pump from inside the car, but you could have a pinched line, or if the pump got air in it you may need to pop the cap off the reservoir to get it going. I know when I changed the pump on my chevy it would run, but nothing would happen. It confused the hell out of me and for some reason I opened the lid on the tank and it started spraying perfectly.
Some things to think of. |
