Oil capacity - Nissan 350Z Forum : 350Z / 370Z Tech Forums

Did an oil change the other day and could not find the oil capacity for an 03 Z, soes anyone know the recommended amount?

Using the dipstick I put in about 5 quarts w/ filter change.

Funny thing is I only drained about 2.5 quarts from the car

That's about right for oil capacity, but 2.5 quarts is not so good. Seen any oil spots under your car lately?

what year is it? might have an oil burning car.

oil capacity is 5.2 quarts

Yeah, 5 to 5.5 qts is about right. This reminds me, I'm 100 miles over on my last change.. guess I know what I'm doin tomorrow on my day off.

No oil spots, its an 03 and It was about 7000 miles since my last change, synthetic of course.

damn. your are worried about 100 to many miles. and im thinking i gotta get it in the shop cause im 2900 past due!

you guys are nuts, I have an 03 and it is due for it's third oil change... it is sitting at 8999 miles in the garage atm!

3000 miules, f-that. Synthetic oil can easily go twice as far. Mine still looked Ok when I drained it and I rape my car on a daily basis.
