Automatic center console removal

I have an '05 enthusiast and I want to install my own head unit. Unfortunately, all the how-to's are about manual Zs. Can someone tell me how to take out the head unit or center console with an automatic? Pics appreciated.

Yeah I've had that problem when installing one on a z before. My solution to the problem was turn the car on and shfit it in to neutral or drive and just put the ebrake up so you don't roll away. I recommend neutral because it's bad to do that while your car is in drive.
Also do not try to turn your car off, it will not allow you to turn the key, just leave your car running until it is removed.

are you serious? leave the car running while you remove a head unit?

That was a great 5 years with the Z. Moved on to better mpg and regular unleaded.

Yeah I'm serious. I guess I should of mentioned make sure you disconnect it before you pull it out. When I did the install there was enough room for me to disconnect everything first (with the car off neg disconnected) then pull it out when shifted into neutral
