Default vq35de cylinder heads

Looking for some help/advise regarding vq35de heads. Has any had their heads machined to ensure the head surface is prefectly flat? If so, how much can be taken off? I have asked the dealer and they say the heads are not servicable. I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild and want to make sure all mating surfaces are prefectly true. I had the engine removed and disassembled by the dealer. They used a buffing pad to remove the head gasket and now the machine shop feels there may be some high and low spots.

Any thougths or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Contact your engine machinist. I will be getting my complete through IPP (Import Parts Pro).

I did ask and he didn't have any specs on it. We asked the dealer and they said the heads are not serviceable. I have seen a one other article that says there is a nominal allowance for cylinder head thickness 4".972-4".980. Was hoping some other people have gone through an engine build and had there heads resurfaced. Is Import Parts Pro machining your engine or just supplying parts?

IPP is the parts and engine builder. They send the block/heads to a machinist. However I'm sure Kyle will have some knowledge on the matter.

I spoke with IPP and they do both supply parts and build engine components. There is an allowable allowance for the VQ45DE heads. Min thickness is 4.972" max thickness is 4.980". Unfortunately my heads were not thick enough to be machined, so don't just get your heads decked without first check the thickness.
