For the first modification I did all by my self, I started with the engine, and replaced the stock manifold and intake, with the Kinetix SSV manifold, and Injen cold air intake...It worked, it took a total of about 8 hours over a period of two weeks (i took my time), but it works great, I can actually hear and feel a difference from 4K rpm and up...it also makes a wild noise when I jab the throttle...i know it doesnt add much power, but i was really surprised by the change, I could really feel it...
I will have pics up soon, I am also working on my pc, which I built, its the 2nd pc I built, it would be done now, except the motherboard I bought died when i started it up, so i had to get the company to replace it under the warranty, as soon as i get the motherboard back, i will be in business... As for future mods, I am planning on more, but need a lift, I want to change the springs, sway bars, cat converter, and exhaust, I will prob wait until next winter...I also have new EBC brake pads, but figured I would buy new rotors before installing the new pads... |

Curious about the SSV plenum - I have heard that it doesn't give much power gain, unless you are FI, especially for the cost, but I'll admit, it does look pretty badass.

yea that is what a lot of people said, i dont really know how much if any power it gained, but i do know that there is a noticeable difference in sound and feel at 4K rpm and up, like i said not sure how much it actually adds, but the difference is noticeable...

Yea Terry I will be out there this year....
Yea I still am working on the engine cover, i bought the Kinetix cover too, I painted it to match my car, but it didnt come out quite right, i dont have much experience painting...not sure, i might try it myself again, or take it to a pro, either way, it should look pretty awesome once i have it finished, either way, once i get my pc fixed, i will put up pics of the install... Yea it sounds really good actually, like i said previously, i was very impressed, especially readying what other people posted about manifolds, i really did not expect much, but the sound and feel was a nice surprise... |
